Add metadata filter to groups indexing

Filtering using metadata on the groups endpoint returns the same result as when fetching all groups.
I hope a metadata filter can be added to groups similiar to licenses and users kind of like this -

GET /v1/accounts/<ACCOUNT_ID>/groups?metadata[<key>]=<value>

What's your use case here? How many groups do you have?

So, the way I use Keygen licensing is kind of like an extension/reimagination over the Keygen terminology.

My entitlements tend to have different expiry dates, usage limits and sometimes even a late start date (I use metadata for this). Now since a single license doesn't fulfill this variable needs , I have to create multiple licenses and club them together.

I use groups to achieve the same. Now, I have suppose 3 types of groups for 3 different category of licensing I support; lets say A, B and C whose category I define in the metadata. Now I need to fetch my created licenses (read groups), I have to organize which groups are shown to which teams based on the category of license they use/create.
Showing all groups to each team is an overload of information for each team and there isn't a filter to only show their own relevant licenses (groups).

Client side filtering doesn't help because I may have let's say 103 group A licenses, 30 group B licenses and 2 group C licenses. Now when I list groups, I get a max of 100 items in each paginated request, which will not help me identify how many group C licenses I have. Scale this example upto a 1000+ and it gets harder

Thanks for the context, but can you walk me through why a single license can't fulfill this need? I guess I'm still not fully understanding why you need to use multiple licenses for this use-case, since a license can have multiple entitlements attached to it. I guess it sounds like you're using licenses as entitlements, and not entitlements per-say. We already offer an entitlement primitive, but from your comment, it doesn't work for you because you need entitlements to expire/have meters?

Worth noting that #579 and #400 are both currently being worked on, which I think may help here.
