Description
- I have checked the FAQ for answers.
- I have checked the Changelog that the issue is not already fixed.
- I believe this issue is a bug, and not a general technical issue, question or feature requests that can be discussed on the forum.
Describe the bug
If you have your collection on a networked file system, and you start strawberry before that resource is available, the application will tell you that your collection is empty. If you then fix the network issue and restart strawberry, your collection remains gone, requiring a full re-scan.
To Reproduce
In debian 12 using Mint desktop environment and strawberry 1.2.13:
- Set up your music collection on a networked device
- Mount your network resource using the caja file manager
- In strawberry, add your collection
- After initial scanning, confirm that you can enjoy your music.
- Restart your computer
- Start strawberry; observe that your collection is empty
- Mount your networked device in caja; see that your collection is still empty
- Restart strawberry
- Observer that your collection is still not visible (until you do a full rescan, which can take days if you have a large collection).
Expected behavior
After restarting the app the collection should be visible.
System Information:
- Operating system: Debian 12.12
- Strawberry Version: 1.2.13
